SUMMARY:AQUAWATT: HYDROPOWER in the energy transition
DESCRIPTION:EASE is glad to support AQUAWATT: HYDROPOWER in the energy transition taking place in Piacenza\, Italy on 29 – 30 October 2024. \nThe recent introduction of long-term supply of storage capacity in the electricity market has made it economically feasible to build new pumped storage facilities\, hence storage\, which the electricity grid sorely needs to integrate increasing shares of non-programmable renewables. Energy storage is therefore a highly topical issue. \nAQUAWATT\, a convention-exhibition entirely dedicated to hydropower in the energy transition\, will bring insights into the benefits of developing pumped storage facilities to store water resources\, the latest in floating solar photovoltaics on reservoirs\, and new modeling and testing programs. \nThe event aims to address the need for supply and demand comparisons in the complex context of water management.
