SUMMARY:Webinar: Advancing Interoperability and Innovation in Distributed Energy Systems
DESCRIPTION:EASE is pleased to support an upcoming webinar\, organised by InterSTORE in collaboration with the Parmenides\, FlexCHESS\, and InterTwin projects\, taking place online on 26 May 2025. As Europe accelerates its transition towards decentralised and sustainable energy systems\, interoperability and standardisation are critical to ensuring seamless collaboration between diverse actors\, technologies\, and domains. This session aims to unite policymakers\, industry leaders\, researchers\, and innovators to tackle key challenges in distributed energy resources (DERs)\, affordability\, and cross-domain integration. \nBy focusing on practical use cases\, actionable standards\, and the role of technology\, the event will serve as a platform to: \n\nExplore the role of distributed energy systems in enhancing energy affordability and achieving climate neutrality by 2050.\nIdentify interoperability standards and frameworks to support cross-domain collaboration.\nPromote the long-term sustainability and scalability of innovative tools and ontologies\, such as the “battery passport\,” to support circular economy goals.\n\nLessons learnt and best practices from EU-funded projects to create practical\, impactful solutions that align with EU policy objectives (Green Deal\, Fit for 55). Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the roadblocks\, opportunities\, and concrete next steps required to standardise interoperability and foster innovation in energy systems across Europe. \nRegister here!
