SUMMARY:8th Energy Storage Summit
DESCRIPTION:As Europe grapples with an energy security crisis\, net-zero targets and increasing amounts of intermittent renewable generation\, energy storage continues to play an essential role in the power sector. After a record-breaking event last year\, join us for the 8th edition in 2023 where we are expanding in line with the growing opportunities for energy storage across the renewable sector. We follow the market as it navigates government policy\, increased capital and an urgency to ensure grid resilience\, but can the necessary scale be met across the value chain in order to meet renewable targets? \nChallenges such as the growing urgency for market redesign\, supply chain constraints\, ESG concerns\, and technology risk all create uncertainty for energy storage business models and are subsequently holding up project deployment. The 8th Energy Storage Summit\, Europe’s largest event on energy storage innovation\, investment and policy\, is here to help. \nThis year we are moving to a larger venue where we will bring together Europe’s leading investors\, policymakers\, developers\, utilities\, energy buyers and service providers all in one place. This event will guide the market on how to maximise storage revenues and reduce energy costs. \nRegister here!

SUMMARY:Webinar on Utility Scale Storage
DESCRIPTION:EASE is glad to support ‘webinar on utility scale energy storage systems and 1000 MWh storage tender‘ on 24 May 2022 at 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon CET\, organised by EU-India Clean Energy & Climate partnership. The Government of India has set aspirations to improve the energy situation in the country by increasing the share of clean energy sources. Given the increase in the RE portfolio\, coupled with the intermittent nature of electricity generation from these sources\, it is important to integrate Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) to ensure firm supply. In order to promote the deployment of BESS\, India plans to come up with 1\,000MWh of storage of ancillary at each of the four Regional Load Dispatch Centres (RLDCs)\, with a combined capacity of 4\,000MWh. \nIn this context\, the European Union (EU) in collaboration with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)\, is organising the webinar. The webinar is proposed to bring together the stakeholders from the EU and India to exchange ideas on the technology evolution\, regulatory requirements and commercial assessment of utility scale storage. In addition\, the webinar will also offer opportunities for companies in EU and in India to understand the 500 MW/1000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) tender floated by SECI. \nRegister here!
