SUMMARY:WindEurope Electric City 2021
DESCRIPTION:EASE is glad to support WindEurope Electric City 2021 that will take place on 23-25 November 2021 in Copenhagen\, Denmark. \nA climate-neutral European economy requires huge volumes of wind energy in the power mix. Major industries like chemicals\, steel and others are actively looking to decarbonise by replacing the fossil fuel energy they use with clean electricity. The heating and transport sectors are going more electric too. All this creates immense opportunities for onshore and offshore wind. The EU sees wind being half of Europe’s electricity by 2050. So wind will be the backbone of the new decarbonised energy system. \n“Electric City” is a new onshore and offshore wind event\, with participants from wind and beyond to join the conversation on how we build a clean economy. This means new voices at the conference\, debating changes we need in policy\, business models and technology to deliver the transition. \nThis event will bring the entire wind industry together with players from beyond wind. We’re inviting players from storage\, hybrids\, shipping\, mobility\, the automotive sector\, and many other industries eager to green their power mix. \nDiscount for EASE Members\nEASE members can benefit from a discounted fee for this event. SUMMARY:Webinar on Utility Scale Storage
DESCRIPTION:EASE is glad to support ‘webinar on utility scale energy storage systems and 1000 MWh storage tender‘ on 24 May 2022 at 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon CET\, organised by EU-India Clean Energy & Climate partnership. The Government of India has set aspirations to improve the energy situation in the country by increasing the share of clean energy sources. Given the increase in the RE portfolio\, coupled with the intermittent nature of electricity generation from these sources\, it is important to integrate Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) to ensure firm supply. In order to promote the deployment of BESS\, India plans to come up with 1\,000MWh of storage of ancillary at each of the four Regional Load Dispatch Centres (RLDCs)\, with a combined capacity of 4\,000MWh. \nIn this context\, the European Union (EU) in collaboration with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)\, is organising the webinar. The webinar is proposed to bring together the stakeholders from the EU and India to exchange ideas on the technology evolution\, regulatory requirements and commercial assessment of utility scale storage. In addition\, the webinar will also offer opportunities for companies in EU and in India to understand the 500 MW/1000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) tender floated by SECI. \nRegister here!

SUMMARY:EMMES 6.0: Can Europe meet 2030 REPowerEU targets without a storage strategy?
DESCRIPTION:EASE together with Delta_EE will organise a webinar on 14 June 2022 to present the European Market Monitor on Energy Storage (EMMES) and to discuss if  Europe can meet 2030 REPowerEU targets without a storage strategy. \n \nThe EU has announced three major initiatives in recent years that will support and accelerate the energy transition: Fit for 55\, NextGenerationEU Covid recovery plan and RePowerEU. These initiatives set ambitious targets for renewable generation\, hydrogen\, the electrification of heating and transport\, and plans to reduce dependence on gas. \nWhile these targets will require a significant increase in the scale of electricity storage\, a clear strategy and targets for the deployment of batteries and other technologies is missing. Can they be achieved without a storage strategy? \nDelta-EE and EASE (European Association for Storage of Energy) are publishing our 6th annual Market Monitor for Energy Storage which holds the most extensive database on European energy storage projects. The database includes detailed data on current installations for all three customer segments (residential\, C&I and front-of-meter) across 24 European countries\, future projects and forecasts to 2030. \nJoin us on the 14 June 2022 at 11:00 CEST for our launch webinar where we will discuss: \n\nHow has the overall European storage market developed over the last 12 months?\nWhat are the trends in three major energy storage segments shaping the market and how will this change in 2022?\nHow is European policy affecting the market today and shaping it into the future?\n\nRegister now!
