EASE Becomes the Energy Storage Europe Association, Marking 15 Years of Sector Leadership
14 October 2025: The European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) today announced a rebranding to better reflect the rapid evolution of the energy storage role in the energy storage system.
EASE will now be known as the Energy Storage Europe association, with a new identity designed to give the sector a stronger visibility. This transformation marks a significant milestone as the association approaches its 15th anniversary and reflects the central role that energy storage now plays in Europe’s energy future.
David Post, President of the Energy Storage Europe association, stated: “In 2025, Europe added new energy storage power capacity at a scale 15 times greater than just five years ago. With this unprecedented growth, a more visible identity was essential to the Association. We will continue to represent the entire value chain and all storage technologies, advocating for policies that enable the needed flexibility and strongest deployment across Europe.”
This rebrand acknowledges the shift of energy storage from a "new kid on the block" technology to a cornerstone of Europe's energy and industrial decarbonisation strategies.
The Energy Storage Europe logo embodies the values of innovation, movement, and connection at the core of Europe’s energy system. Its visual identity draws inspiration from the flow and balancing of energy. The purple-to-blue gradient represents technical innovation and optimism of the energy transition, while the word “Europe” highlights our scope and collaborative spirit.
“This is more than just a new name; it's a new chapter for our organisation and the entire sector,” said Patrick Clerens, Secretary General of the Energy Storage Europe association. “Europe’s energy future depends on energy storage. Our new identity will amplify this message to ensure we are at the heart of policy debates."
The rebrand solidifies the association's position as the definitive voice for the energy storage industry. The Energy Storage Europe association will continue its mission to drive change by bringing together the full value chain and ensuring that storage can fulfil its role as an enabler of Europe’s energy transition.
