Energy Storage Europe Activity Report 2025
The energy storage sector entered a phase of unprecedented acceleration, marked by rapid deployment, increasing investment, and a strengthening EU policy framework, and we are glad to share our annual report for 2025.
In the past year, Europe reached a major milestone of 100 GW of installed capacity, underscoring the growing role of storage in enabling a flexible, secure, and decarbonised energy system.
Energy Storage Europe contributed to this progress by advancing policies that support market development and system integration. Its activities ranged from engaging with key EU initiatives and promoting fair market conditions to strengthening industry collaboration and supporting the deployment of storage across technologies and applications.
Here are some of our key achievements in 2025:
From contributing to major EU initiatives such as the Clean Industrial Deal and the Affordable Energy Action Plan to publishing key guidelines and bringing together stakeholders at the Energy Storage Global Conference, Energy Storage Europe continued to drive the sector forward.
